DeSantis Signs Legislation Establishing ‘Victims of Communism Day’ in Florida

DeSantis signed legislation on Monday establishing ‘Victims of Communism Day’ in Florida. The signing and press conference occured at the Freedom Tower in Miami. The commemorative day will be observed in schools on November 7th.
In addition to creating the new observance, the governor's legislation also allocated $25 million to support repairs and renovations to the Freedom Tower as well as the renaming of three roads for Cubans who fought against Fidel Castro in Cuba.
