Demetree Global Welcomes Luc Picotte as New COO

Demetree Global recently welcomed Luc Picotte as their new Chief Operating Officer in July.

Picotte has served in he veteran executive has 20+ years of real estate experience developing, managing, turning around and creating incremental value for real estate portfolios of 10M+ sf or $5B+ of different asset classes both in the US and Canada.

Picotte is noted for being a high performing, high energy leader. Demetree's new COO built his reputation on years of solid success managing 200+ multi-disciplined professionals in high impact projects. Picotte also boasts of an unusual record of innovation and excellence in asset management, ESG investment, prop-tech and customer experience initiatives.

Before joining Demetree Global, Picotte has served as President of LP4Creative LLC, a consulting company that he founded in 2015, advising commercial owners of real estate on asset / property management, repositioning and leasing of mixed-use, lifestyle, transit-oriented, high street retail, restaurants, shopping centers, office and industrial properties such as Codina Partners, In-Rel Properties, The Stronach Group, Oaktree Capital, Florida East Coast Industries and Penn-Florida Properties.

His experience also entails a stint as Vice President at Cadillac Fairview, one of North America’s largest owners of commercial real estate, and a senior role at Brookfield Properties (Formerly GGP) where he was instrumental in repositioning and monetizing over $850 million of real estate assets.

Prior to his role, still at GGP, Picotte served as Vice President, Group Director, where he was responsible for property management, specialty leasing, development and marketing of a $2 billion portfolio consisting of 10 of the largest mixed-use office/regional retail complexes in the US Pacific Northwest.

In addition, Picotte has also served as in a lead position with real estate firms Ivanhoe-Cambridge and Cominar.

Picotte holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Project Management and an MBA from Laval University.
