Trump Supporters Pack I-Drive in Show of Support for Former President
Thousands of Trump supporters packed International Drive this afternoon awaiting the arrival of the former President's motorcade. The composition of the crowd appeared diverse in terms of age groups and contained a great many historical, state and international flags.
Among the organizers of the welcome were the Florida Republican Assemblies, Women for Trump, the Orange County Republican Party and several smaller GOP oriented groups from all around the country. Central Florida Repubican Assemblies Chairman Lou Marin, a key organizer of the welcome, told The Orlando Local News that spirits were high, even in the humid Florida weather, as crowds awaited a glimpse of the former Commander in Chief.
A long-time campaigner for President Trump, Marin frequently holds events around Florida in support of conservative causes, with participants often numbering in the hundreds or thousands. His organization also recently became the first in Florida to recognize Trump as the de facto leader of the Republican Party.
Trump is expected to arrive at some time after three o'clock. According to reports by several news outlets, Trump's speech will convey his intention to remain engaged in politics in addition to bolstering his America First doctrine.
