President Trump Endorses Cory Mills for CD 7

Former President Donald Trump endorsed Congressional hopeful Cory Mills this week, lauding the war hero for his service.

“A wonderful patriot, Cory Mills, is running for Congress in Florida’s 7th Congressional District as a Pro-America, Pro-Law Enforcement, and Pro-Trump Champion for our beloved Make America Great Again movement. Cory has long been a great fighter for our Country, and he is a decorated U.S. Army combat Veteran who has fought bravely all over the World,” said President Trump.  “He has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and has even traveled to Ukraine recently to provide information for USAID and State Department officials. When everyone else is running away from the tough fights, Cory Mills is willing to stay back and fight. He loves our Country, loves the Great State of Florida, and he will never let us down. Cory Mills has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Mills released a statement in response to the President's endorsement, accepting it wholeheartedly:

“Like President Donald Trump, I have always put our country and flag first above all. As Americans, it is important that we embrace the liberties that have been bestowed upon us by our Creator and our Constitution—a Constitution we have all sworn to protect against all enemies. I am grateful for President Trump’s endorsement of our congressional campaign. Together, we will continue to “Make America Great Again” and defend our God-given rights and liberties."

Mills faced a wide array of Republicans in the crowded GOP primary and ultimately defeated State Representative Anthony Sabatini who led the rest of the pack. Mills' defeated Sabatini by 15  points.

Many now consider Mills to be a rising star among conservative candidates and politicians across the country, receiving endorsements from Sen. Ted Cruz and Reps. Byron Donalds, Mike Waltz, Greg Steube, Brian Mast, and Freedom Caucus founder, Rep. Jim Jordan in addition to Trump.

Mills faces Democrat Karen Green in the General Election.
