Local Philanthropist John Crossman Advances Real Estate Education at Jackson State University

Local philanthropist and businessman John Crossman recently endowed a first-of-its-kind real estate scholarship at Jackson State University, a historically black college in Missippi, along with John Michael Holtmann.

Officially known as the John Michael Holtmann and Crossman Career Builders scholarship, the endowment promotes greater emphasis on the importance of real estate in college education and seeks to propel and advance students in the field.

"Huge thanks to the Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, and the President of Jackson State University, Thomas Hudson, in their united support of the John Michael Holtmann and Crossman Career Builders scholarship! This is the first ever real estate scholarship at JSU and joins the similar scholarships we have at Bethune-Cookman University and Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University. Thanks to Sonny Alonzo Pryor for being a key member of the team!" Crossman wrote on Facebook.

Beginning with Crossman's father Kenneth, Crossman's family has consistently support civil rights causes over the years, seeking to promote opportunity and fairness for the underprivileged in our community and across the nation.
