Universal Orlando guests stop wearing masks after policy change, photos show
Universal Orlando Resort announced it was updating its COVID safety measures and are now saying masks are not "mandatory" while outdoors but are still "required in all indoor locations including shops and restaurants" and required at all attractions.
- Universal Studios in Orlando says it will make masks optional for guests in most outdoor spaces but will still require masks indoors.
The move comes after the CDC says fully vaccinated Americans can go without a mask in most situations, both indoors and outdoors. There are some exceptions, such as in healthcare settings and on public transport.
More than a third of Americans are fully vaccinated.
Disney also recently announced that the theme park giant would also lift some of their mask restrictions.
