Trump Ally State Rep. Anthony Sabatini Filing Bill to Audit 2020 Election

Trump ally State Representative Anthony Sabatini recently set about drafting legislation to audit the 2020 presidential election in Florida following the Secretary of State's rejection of his request for a review of the five most popular counties in Florida.

The representative shared an audit bill Friday on Twitter. The draft bill will require Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to create a third-party independent forensic audit "every precinct in each county with a population of 415,000 or more."
The State Representative told sources that he will seek to file a bill in the coming weeks. Sabatini stated that post election audits “should be normal procedure. Transparency and accountability insurance voter confidence.“
The legislation mandates that the audit must initiated by April 15, 2022 and be completed within two months. The bill also instructs the auditors to submit a report to the Governor, the Secretary of State, the Division of Elections, Supervisor of Elections and state legislators within 30 days of audit finalization.

"A full forensic audit of the five counties must be done immediately. Florida voters' confidence in our elections is at an all-time low. Disturbing revelations in Arizona, Georgia, and other states make clear that the Secretary of State needs to do more than attempt to secure future elections," Sabatini wrote in a statement in July.

Sabatini, who has served Florida's 32nd House district in Lake County since 2018, has regularly voiced support for Trump's stance on the outcome of the 2020 election, tweeting on Nov. 26: "I'm extremely thankful Biden lost in 2020."

Last month, Sabatini filed a new bill to name the longest highway in Florida, Highway 27, the "President Donald J. Trump Highway" to honor whom he called "one of America's greatest presidents."

Sabatini is also scheduled to speak at AmpFest 2021, an upcoming event taking place at Miami's Trump National Doral in October that will feature speakers such as Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar and longtime Trump ally Roger Stone.
