OLN Editor Repudiates Cawthorn for Pro-Russian Sentiments
A U.S. Congressman Tries to Call Zelenskiy a 'Thug'; A Reporter in Ukraine Who Knows the Congressman Responds Here:
“Remember that Zelenskiy is a thug," said U.S. Congressman Madison Cawthorn on Thursday. "Remember that the Ukrainian government is incredibly corrupt and is incredibly evil and has been pushing woke ideologies.” —

LVIV, UKRAINE - Last year, without expecting or receiving a single thank you — or any recognition whatsoever, I leveraged my connections behind the scenes to help set up a fundraiser for Congressman Madison Cawthorn in Orlando.
I now feel ashamed of that decision.
I believed his take about being accepted to the naval academy. I believed him when he said his friend Bradley left Cawthorn to die in the fiery wreck that paralyzed him. I believed him when he said stories of his sexual misconduct were false. I believed him when he told us paramedics declared him dead on the scene.
I stopped believing him today. Madison Cawthorn’s tall tales about his record ring about as true as his statement today about President Zelensky and the Ukraine.
I should know. I’m in Ukraine; I arrived Tuesday in Lviv. Perhaps if the congressman spent as much time looking into the tear soaked eyes of Ukrainian refugees as he does into Fox News cameras North Carolina’s favorite trust fund baby might be able to find his conscience.

Being in denial about someone you admire can blind even the most well intentioned. I can say now with certainty: “I’ve seen the light.”
