Local Philanthropist Featured On Beacon TV
His company's signs dot the corner of nearly every major intersection in Orlando. But still, many often wonder, "Who is John Crossman?" Crossman made his career as a successful businessman overcoming immense challenges, and now takes that same vigor and passion to new heights in the world of philanthropy.
Diagnosed with dyslexia, he never let the trials and tribulations of life define him. Now, he has been honored as a Difference Maker in this month’s episode of Beacon TV’s “A World of Difference” for his continued efforts to help college students and young professionals reach their full potential.
Crossman rose to the role of CEO at Orlando-based Crossman & Company, one of the largest retail leasing, management and investment real estate firms in the southeast, he founded Crossman Career Builders, a career development organization. Through his latest venture, he is able to fulfill a lifelong mission to serve marginalized populations, drawing inspiration from his own experiences and continue the work of his father Rev. Kenneth Crossman to advance civil rights. A family man, Crossman dedicates much of his time to his loved ones, today being his 25th wedding anniversary.
“A World of Difference” is a TV series produced by Beacon College (the first college in the country accredited to award bachelor’s degrees exclusively to students with learning differences and disabilities) that celebrates and supports the families of children with learning and developmental disabilities such as ADHD, dyslexia and autism.
