Iva Tonieva is a Central Florida poet with a cosmopolitan history. Her family originated from Bulgaria, though the young poet was educated in Gainesville at the University of Florida. Currently based in Tampa, Tonieva has been making waves among Instagram's poetry fans from all over the U.S.

While her background and personal experience may set the tone for a great deal of her poetry, she clearly possesses an innate talent, one being noticed more and more. Tonieva exhibits a natural intelligence. An intelligence so often lacking on American social media platforms today.
