Laura Loomer Attends Trump Parade as Voters Ask “Where is Webster?”
Residents of Congressional District 11 came out in full force for the Villages' Trump parade. The only thing missing from the 200 golf cart extravaganza? Congressman Daniel Webster. Webster's Republican Primary opponent, conservative activist Laura Loomer, attended the parade with throngs of supporters.
Congressman Webster's recent absences worry many members of the community. "I don't think Webster's a bad man. We love him, but if his health is failing we have a right to know," said Liz W, a retired schoolteacher living nearby the town of Wildwood.
With new district borders stretching from southwest Orange County up to the Villages, a recent report about an alleged "Life Alert" necklace has also caused concern among many as to the absentee lawmaker's mobility.
Loomer's presence at the parade was met with positive responses from most and several voters raised frustrations with the incumbent's lack of support for for President Donald Trump.
The growing support for Loomer is evidenced in recent Federal Election Commission financial disclosures, with Loomer far exceeding Webster's cash flow.
Webster and Loomer will face off on August 23rd.
