The film festival's content differs upon time of day, will more salacious films being promoted in the evening along with other adult themes. Some conservative voices within the community criticized the the government sponsored festival in 2019 for hosting a film making light of incest, among other controversial subjects. The festival also featured a film casting former President Donald Trump as a demon possessed zombie.

In spite of the festival's oftentimes edgy overtones and political biases, film lovers of all stripes always discover genres, filmmakers and themes to appeal to their interests and tastes. The final film in the festival traditionally comes in the form of a classic film, though the festival's organizers have not yet announced this year's selection.
