Universal Epic Opening Projected for 2025
Comcast, the parent company of Universal, announced that the theme park giant's newest addition, Universal Epic, might open as soon as mid 2025. Comcast's Chief Financial Officer Michael Cavanagh made the statement in the company's fourth-quarter earnings call. CEO Brian Roberts added that the company also demonstrated “the best quarter in the company’s history for any quarter.”
From those earnings, NBC Universal plans to invest about $1 billion on capital expenditures for the theme park.
Construction was halted for nearly a year, although Epic Universe is “full steam ahead” according to company spokespersons.
The 110-acre theme park will include Super Nintendo World, extensive fountains, a direct park access celestial-themed hotel and many other features yet to be announced.
