Winter Park Rotary's Chili for Charity Held at New Events Center

The Winter Park Rotary Club recently held the organization's annual Chili for Charity competition at the city's new library and events center. Residents from around Winter Park and Central Florida attended and included auctions and bids for special vacation packages. A wide variety of Central Florida restaurants and businesses joined in cook-off.

Outside, attendees enjoyed music and complimentary beverages as a part of their tickets. The event benefits a diverse number of charities through the Winter Park Rotary Foundation. The competition's eleventh year once again witnessed record turn out, raising thousands for all thirty charities.

Rotarian and longtime Winter Park resident Bryan Thomas spoke with the Local News, lauding the event as a great success. Local politicians, candidates and notable community leaders were among the many distinguished guests at the cook-off such as former Commissioner Sarah Sprinkel and Four Rivers' founder John Rivers.
