Orange County Approves Lake Roberts Reserve

Orange County has approved a project to add 41 homes to a parcel west of Windermere Road. The property originally was zoned A-1 (Citrus Rural District) but was rezoned last November to Planned Development District (PD).
The project also entails $4.5 million of community assistance for adjacent residents on the road.
AnnMarie Finn, who has lived on the road for about 30 years, said the neighborhood has had trouble with flooding and road potholes.
“The developer will help us with that, and I am 100% for this,” Finn told Orange Observer.
Developers have also stated publicly that the project will focus on eliminating the need for septics and prohibits the dumping of any contaminants into the lake itself.
