A Letter from the Editor
Dear Neighbor:
Here's some trivia for you: What do Onlyfans strippers, TikTok stars, political grifters and the DMV all have in common? Answer: They each make far more in profit than your local newspapers and journalists. No, we don’t mean the Orlando Sentinel or Orlando Weekly, or any other out-of-town corporate chain. We’re talking about your Orlando Local News!
“Save your tears,” we’re told. “Mainstream press keeps their staff well paid and puts out what the readers really want to see.” JLo’s latest love affair, Kim Kardashian’s newest scandal, gossip about a local bagel shop owner, the tantrums of a five year old at Publix. Maybe a bit more divisive political demeagoguery to yank your chain.
Well, friends, if you love all that — you’ll hate us! Our principles may bankrupt this publication, but we’re intent on sticking to the news first.
But more than that, we will never be satisfied with merely regurgitating the news. We fight daily for progress and reform in our community, standing up for right and attacking wrong.
Our objective: No nonsense coverage that always seeks the truth, being a vanguard against predatory power and graft. Promoting free speech and Americanism, and vanquishing cancel culture. Adhering to the eternal and wholesome values that forged the nation.
For just less than a quarter a day, you can join us in our mission. You’ll receive our monthly print edition plus unfettered online access, along with a special weekly newsletter containing updates on all the stories our competition won’t cover.
